You have surely heard of it, The Ordinary is the most talked about brand on social media and, in fact, I met it through Instagram.

As you can see from the official website of Deciem, the beauty company that produces this brand,

The brand was created to celebrate integrity in its most humble and true form. Its offering is pioneering, not in the familiar technologies it uses, but in its honesty and integrity.

I love packaging very much so for me it was a big obstacle that the products were contained in bottles that are very reminiscent of pharmaceutical products, especially iodine tincture. The price is extremely competitive and, while finding it exceptional, it left me perplexed.

Then, one day, I finished the foundation and I have to admit that I don't have a favorite one, maybe just the one from Chanel but we know that Chanel is forever.

Despite my love for high cosmetics I decided to give The Ordinary a chance because I don't like not being informed, I have to be always on point.

I am a very demanding person and I told myself that at most I would consider those 8.99 euros as a pizza. So I was ready to try.

I bought the foundation on Douglas but you can also find The Ordinary products on Asos, Amazon and other on-line shops.

I will not dwell on the packaging because I have already told you that it does not correspond to my aesthetic tastes but, nevertheless, it is a fair compromise if we think that saving on the packaging has allowed us to sell the product at a very cheap price.

I chose the serum foundation and had never tried it. I come from a long and exclusive cream foundation experience so I just let you imagine the face I made when I literally splashed the liquid on my hand. But then I spread this on the skin and I couldn't believe it because it was the texture I had been looking for for a long time. It is light, it is not suitable for those who want the covering effect because it is like a veil that blends perfectly with your skin, giving brightness and evenness to the complexion.

The bottle contains 30ml of product but very little is enough to cover the whole face. It is also perfect for my mixed skin and, considering I'm almost 42 years old, I really appreciate the fact that it minimizes the signs of aging.

So I can say that The Ordinary serum foundation has satisfied me 100% and I have not thought twice about making a small haul, including the primer!
